Logging Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Logging Worker to support our operations in the forestry sector. The right candidate will assist in the efficient processing of timber, ensuring the highest safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Sort logs by size and quality for processing.
• Operate and maintain log tumbling and cutting machinery.
• Collaborate with production staff to meet output goals.
• Identify and report any equipment malfunctions.
• Ensure all processes adhere to safety regulations.
• Assist with stacking and storing timber accurately.
• Support record-keeping for inventory and production.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent

Experience

• Some familiarity with forestry or similar work is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Heavy Equipment Operation

Advantageous

• Previous experience in a forestry or manufacturing environment: Experience in a similar role will be considered an asset.
• Experience operating machinery or heavy equipment: Hands-on experience with logging equipment is a plus.
