Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our vibrant team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will support our pharmacists in providing excellent pharmaceutical care, ensuring that patients receive the right medication at the right time. You will be responsible for assisting with customer inquiries and preparing prescriptions.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists with the dispensing of medications and products.
• Provide relevant health advice and counseling to customers.
• Track and maintain medication and supply inventory.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace.
• Assist in patient education related to medication usage.
• Coordinate with medical professionals for prescription clarifications.
• Prepare compounded medications as required.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Requirements

Education

• Matriculation Certificate or equivalent
• Diploma in Pharmacy Assistance is an advantage

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in pharmacy or healthcare role

• Prescription Processing

Certifications

• CPR and First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual in Afrikaans and English: Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Afrikaans.
• Experience in compounding medications: Knowledge in preparing customized medications as per prescription.
