Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mining Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will leverage engineering principles to enhance the efficiency and safety of mining operations while adhering to legislative requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead resource evaluation initiatives and develop short and long-term mining plans.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment of mining operations with community needs.
• Monitor and report on the progress of mining activities against established targets.
• Facilitate audits and inspections for compliance and operational excellence.
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with regulatory bodies.
• Assist in budget planning and project forecasting.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Geological Engineering or related discipline
• Postgraduate qualifications preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a mining engineering or geotechnical role
