Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer with us in Cape Town, you will work on exciting projects that push the boundaries of engineering. Your responsibilities will include developing prototypes, testing designs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive plans for mechanical engineering projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies and safety assessments on designs.
• Work alongside cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electronic controls.
• Troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions and propose effective solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and interns in engineering practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Relevant postgraduate qualification preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design or a similar role.

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Matlab

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
