We are seeking a skilled Industrial Equipment Designer to join our dynamic team in Pretoria. You will be responsible for innovating designs and improving mechanical systems that contribute to our high-quality equipment manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, coupled with hands-on design experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for industrial equipment.
• Perform stress analysis and simulations to ensure durability of designs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure design feasibility.
• Contribute to the development of the company's technical standards.
• Stay informed on the latest technologies in industrial design and engineering.
• Mentor and guide other members of the design team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field
• Master’s degree is advantageous

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in design and development of industrial machinery

Technical Skills

• 3D Modelling Software
• Technical Documentation

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA): Experience using FEA software to analyze mechanical performance.
