Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will support the pharmacist in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing exceptional patient service. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our patients receive the best care possible.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with suppliers for timely medication restocking.
• Respond to patient queries regarding medication and health concerns.
• Document and report any medication errors or adverse reactions.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Matriculation Certificate or equivalent
• Pharmacy Technician Diploma or related qualification is preferred

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting

Technical Skills

• Medication Dispensing
• Inventory Management

• Problem-Solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Registered Pharmacy Technician Certification (RPTC)
• CPR and First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Afrikaans.
• Experience with Patient Counseling: Previous experience in providing medication counseling to patients.
