Job Description

As a Naturalist Guide, you will lead groups on nature walks, safaris, and outdoor expeditions. Your role will involve educating participants about the local flora and fauna while ensuring their safety and enhancing their outdoor experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate eco-tours and wildlife expeditions with enthusiasm.
• Deliver educational commentary that fosters appreciation for nature.
• Ensure participant safety through effective leadership.
• Manage group dynamics to enhance visitor experiences.
• Conduct post-tour debriefs to gather feedback for improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate
• Accredited nature guide qualification

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a naturalist guide

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of South African fauna and flora
• First Aid Certification

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Teamwork

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience working with children or special needs groups: Experience in guiding or teaching children or individuals with special needs.
• Outdoor adventure sports experience: Involvement in outdoor sports or activities that enhance guiding skills.
