Job Description

In this role, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes, deliver treatment plans, and assist in health education.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and document patients' progress.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure the comfort and safety of patients.
• Educate patients on preventative care and wellness strategies.
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as required.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining treatment areas.
• Stay updated on healthcare regulations and standards.
• Engage with family members to discuss care and treatment.
• Utilize technology to enhance patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Nursing or equivalent qualification
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing role

Technical Skills

• Clinical assessment skills
• Medication administration

• Communication

Certifications

• Registered Nurse certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in the ICU or emergency department: Previous experience in critical care settings is beneficial.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR): Proficient in using electronic health records systems for patient documentation.
