Logistics Coordinator

Job Description

We are in search of a Logistics Coordinator to manage our supply chain operations in Durban. The successful candidate will ensure efficient logistics processes, from inventory management to delivery coordination, while optimising costs and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily logistics operations and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Communicate effectively with various departments to streamline operations.
• Forecast logistics needs and order supplies accordingly.
• Develop relationships with carriers and suppliers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
• Provide support to customer service teams by ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
• Evaluate logistics processes and implement best practices to increase productivity.
• Assist with training and onboarding of new logistics staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years in supply chain or logistics management

Certifications

• APICS Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fluency in Afrikaans or another local language: Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages is a plus.
• Experience with project management software: Knowledge of tools like Trello or Asana to manage logistics projects.
