Plant Security Guard

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable Plant Security Guard to oversee and maintain security protocols at our manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will monitor and control access, conduct regular patrols, and respond promptly to any security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Perform entry and exit checks for all personnel and visitors.
• Document and monitor security logs and activities.
• Assist in developing and updating security policies.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement when necessary.
• Engage in continuous monitoring of security cameras and alarms.
• Provide support in training new security staff.
• Participate in fire drills and safety exercises.
• Assist with investigations of security breaches.
• Maintain professional decorum while representing security.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• Security diploma is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in security, preferably in an industrial setting.

Languages

• English: Fluent
