We are on the lookout for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Durban-based team. The successful candidate will be involved in designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. This role is ideal for someone with a knack for problem-solving and a passion for innovation in engineering.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the manufacturing and assembly of mechanical components.
• Collaborate with project managers to meet project deadlines.
• Evaluate the performance of products and suggest improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide training as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master’s degree in Engineering Management is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years in a mechanical engineering role

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Thermodynamics

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Time Management

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

Advantageous

• Proficiency in CAD Software: Familiarity with CAD software for design purposes.
• Knowledge of ISO Standards: Awareness of ISO standards applicable to engineering projects.
