Job Description

As a First-Line Supervisor of Police and Detectives, you will oversee and direct the activities of uniformed officers, ensuring their productivity and adherence to departmental procedures. Your leadership will be pivotal in maintaining a safe environment while handling incidents and providing guidance to your team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team in enforcing laws and maintaining civil order.
  • Plan and coordinate law enforcement operations for events or incidents.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate professional development.
  • Foster a culture of respect, integrity, and performance within the team.
  • Engage with community members to promote public safety initiatives.
  • Provide evidence-based recommendations for policy changes.
  • Participate in collaborative investigations with other agencies.
  • Ensure officers adhere to proper conduct and ethical standards.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of security measures and propose improvements.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior officers.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric certificate
  • Diploma or degree in Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in law enforcement or security management
Technical Skills
  • Crisis management skills
  • Familiarity with law enforcement technology

Certifications
  • PSIRA Registered
  • Basic First Aid Certification
