Job Description

As a Transit and Railroad Police Officer, you'll be responsible for safeguarding passengers and property within our railway network. This includes conducting patrols, responding to emergencies, and enforcing laws to maintain safety and security.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and security of passengers, employees, and assets within the railway.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of crimes and prepare detailed reports.
  • Respond to emergencies, including injuries or criminal activity, effectively.
  • Monitor compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to strengthen relationships.
  • Conduct traffic management and handle related violations.
  • Provide quick and effective responses to incidents.
  • Report to the Security Manager regarding all incidents and security concerns.
  • Utilize advanced surveillance systems to enhance security measures.
  • Maintain familiarity with local, state, and federal laws pertaining to railroad safety.

Requirements

Education
  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent
  • Completion of a recognized police training program
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a law enforcement role
