As an ICU Nurse, you will be responsible for monitoring patients, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide top-notch care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive critical care to ICU patients, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Conduct regular patient assessments and report changes to healthcare team members.
• Manage complex medical equipment and technologies used in critical care.
• Support families and caregivers, providing emotional and practical support.
• Assist in emergency situations, utilizing critical thinking and assessment skills.
• Participate in nursing orientation and ongoing educational programs.
• Maintain an organized and efficient work environment in the ICU.
• Conduct patient rounds and collaborate on care strategies with the healthcare team.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Nursing
• Registered Nurse License in South Africa

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience preferred

• Patient Assessment

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Intermediate Life Support (ILS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
