IT Support Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated IT Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support and maintenance for our clients in Gqeberha. The successful candidate will troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues while ensuring user satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality support via phone, email, or in-person.
• Perform diagnostics to identify issues and implement appropriate solutions.
• Manage scheduling of IT resources and tools.
• Participate in the onboarding of new employees regarding IT equipment.
• Keep track of IT budgets for hardware and software procurement.
• Facilitate the setup of new workstations for employees.
• Maintain a positive rapport with users and other departments.
• Ensure compliance with technical standards and protocols.
• Assist with training of junior staff.
• Provide feedback for continuous improvement of IT services.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in IT or related field
• Degree in Computer Science is advantageous

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in IT support roles
