Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our Durban team. The ideal candidate will have experience in structural design, analysis, and project management, working on diverse infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with architects and construction teams to create safe and efficient structures.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze bridge and roadway structures.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings to gather project requirements.
• Implement sustainable design practices in structural engineering.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
• Prepare cost estimates for materials and labor for projects.
• Document design processes and project changes thoroughly.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• Experience with seismic and wind loading analysis is preferred

• MATLAB
• SAP2000

Certifications

• Civil Engineering Certification Board (CECB)
• Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent
