Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Air Traffic Controller to ensure the safe and efficient flow of air traffic in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will manage airspace operations while adhering to aviation regulations and responding to dynamic flight conditions.

Responsibilities

• Direct aircraft during takeoff, landing, and in-flight maneuvering to maintain safety.
• Resolve conflicts in air traffic to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all communications and aircraft movements.
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
• Use simulation tools for training and system testing.
• Ensure effective communication links with flight crews and operations staff.
• Evaluate and improve operational procedures based on feedback and incidents.
• Support the development of safety strategies within the air traffic control unit.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Air Traffic Management or relevant qualification
• Bachelor's degree in Aviation is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in air traffic control operations
