We are on the lookout for an Actuarial Analyst to join our team in Johannesburg. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on data analysis and enjoys tackling complex problems in the insurance sector. The successful candidate will apply their actuarial skills to carry out risk assessments, model potential outcomes, and support the development of new products to meet the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Model potential financial outcomes based on different scenarios.
  • Evaluate and improve current actuarial models for efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product offerings.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure all actuarial processes comply with the latest industry regulations.
  • Conduct peer reviews of actuarial analyses for quality assurance.
  • Train and mentor junior analysts on best practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Actuarial Science
  • Postgraduate qualification is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in actuarial or quantitative analysis
