Job Description

Join our Cape Town office as an Actuarial Analyst! In this role, you will focus on risk assessment and management, leveraging your expertise in mathematics and statistics. The successful candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of collaborating with diverse teams to offer strategic recommendations based on data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret complex datasets to evaluate risk assessments.
  • Modify and enhance existing actuarial models to improve accuracy.
  • Support the development of new products and services through actuarial analysis.
  • Conduct peer reviews of reports to ensure comprehensive reporting.
  • Train junior analysts in actuarial methodologies and best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with IT and data teams to implement data systems.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative analytical field
  • Relevant certifications in the actuarial domain are preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in life insurance or pension planning roles
