Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing medication therapy and improving patient health outcomes. You will be responsible for evaluating medication regimens, providing drug information to healthcare professionals, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient medication therapy and make recommendations as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
• Ensure patients are educated on medication side effects and interactions.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives within the pharmacy.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior pharmacists and pharmacy interns.
• Evaluate the clinical effectiveness of medication regimens.
• Support pharmacy operations in adherence to best practices.
• Engage in continuous professional development and education.
• Explain complex medication-related information in understandable terms.
• Contribute to formulary management and utilization review.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Clinical Pharmacy or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
