We are seeking a passionate Investigative Reporter to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be skilled in in-depth research, storytelling, and delivering compelling narratives that resonate with our audience. You will be responsible for uncovering truths, conducting interviews, and producing impactful stories that engage and inform the public.

Responsibilities

• Research complex issues and uncover hidden stories that matter.
• Develop contacts and build relationships within the community.
• Utilize public records and data analysis in your investigative efforts.
• Participate in editorial meetings and contribute ideas for story development.
• Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of published stories.
• Train and mentor junior reporters on investigative techniques.
• Engage with the audience through social media and public speaking events.
• Ensure that all facts are double-checked and verified before publication.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field
• Master's degree in Journalism or Investigative Studies preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in investigative journalism
