Job Description

We are seeking a talented Chemical Engineer to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical processes and engineering principles, and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing chemical production operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new chemical processes and technologies.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and research for new product development.
  • Collaborate with production teams to improve process reliability.
  • Analyze data and provide recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Ensure all operations comply with company and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare documentation and reports on process improvements.
  • Participate in safety audits and develop mitigation plans.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
  • Work with procurement on sourcing raw materials.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
  • Master's degree in Chemical Engineering preferred
Experience
  • 3-7 years of relevant experience in chemical engineering
