Environmental Consultant

Job Description

We are currently seeking a passionate Environmental Consultant to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for advising clients on environmental best practices, conducting assessments, and assisting in the development of effective environmental management plans. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance with legislation while promoting sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate environmental risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions on sustainability topics.
• Assist clients in achieving compliance with local and national environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate environmental considerations into projects.
• Maintain relationships with clients and provide ongoing support.
• Conduct literature reviews and stay abreast of best practices in environmental consulting.
• Advise on waste reduction, energy efficiency, and sustainable resource management.
• Prepare and submit grant proposals for environmental projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in environmental consulting or related role
