We are seeking a qualified Chemical Engineer to join our team in Pietermaritzburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing chemical processes, ensuring safety standards, and contributing to product development. Our ideal engineer will have a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong background in chemical engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Analyze process conditions and identify areas for improvement.
• Create technical reports on findings and performance.
• Support the scaling up of processes from laboratory to commercial production.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Evaluate the environmental impact of operations and develop mitigation strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree would be advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of chemical engineering experience preferred
