Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in mechanical design, analysis, and project management. You will be responsible for designing and implementing engineering solutions while working closely with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and prototype mechanical designs.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives across projects.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for quality assurance.
• Analyze data to inform design decisions and optimize outcomes.
• Ensure all engineering work aligns with company objectives and quality standards.
• Develop training materials for new equipment and systems.
• Facilitate risk assessment processes for engineering projects.
• Participate in industry events to remain updated on trends and technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
• Master's degree is an added advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering roles

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Leadership

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

Languages

• English: Fluent
