Job Description

We are seeking an innovative Industrial Engineer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring quality in our manufacturing operations. This role requires a robust analytical mindset and a passion for problem-solving. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, implement solutions, and monitor results.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate current production methods and recommend optimizations.
• Work with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and reduce waste.
• Conduct time and motion studies to identify opportunities for increased efficiency.
• Manage projects from conception through to implementation.
• Draft technical specifications and guidelines for manufacturing processes.
• Assist in budgeting and resource allocation for engineering projects.
• Identify equipment and technology needs for production enhancement.
• Facilitate training sessions for operational staff on new processes.
• Build relationships with suppliers to ensure quality input materials.
• Conduct root cause analysis for any production issues.

Requirements

Education

• Technical diploma in Engineering

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in an industrial engineering role with a focus on continuous improvement
