Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Mechanical Engineer to enhance our team in Durban. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with other engineers to develop state-of-the-art mechanical systems, conducting tests, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems and components according to project requirements.
• Perform thermal and fluid dynamics calculations to ensure efficient designs.
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to procure mechanical materials.
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Create and maintain documentation for designs and revisions.
• Conduct technical presentations to clients and stakeholders.
• Analyze customer feedback to improve product design.
• Research and apply new technologies and engineering practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role

• AutoCAD
• Mechanical Design

Certifications

• Certified Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in MATLAB: Experience with MATLAB for modeling and simulations.
