Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Cutting and Slicing Machine Operator to join our team in Cape Town. You will play an essential role in operating machinery that cuts and scores paperboard sheets, ensuring precision and quality in every output.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production processes to ensure consistency and quality.
• Identify issues with equipment or products and rectify as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Report equipment malfunctions and participate in repairs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the production process.
• Engage in team meetings regarding safety and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Technical diploma in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.

Experience

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a similar role.

Technical Skills

• Machine operation software
• Quality control processes

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience operating other machinery in the paperboard industry: Hands-on experience with machinery beyond just cut off machines.
