Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, monitoring security systems, and implementing effective countermeasures to protect our clients' data and resources. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Engage in threat hunting and proactive security measures.
• Manage user access controls and privileges.
• Assist in security audits and assessments.
• Evaluate and deploy security software and tools.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement as needed for cybercrimes.
• Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Participate in the security incident response team.
• Contribute to the development of risk management strategies.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies for security impact.
• Provide incident analysis and security reviews.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Security
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related field

Certifications

• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with penetration testing tools: Hands-on experience with tools like Metasploit or Burp Suite is advantageous.
