Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and creative Interior Designer to join our Pretoria team. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions for both residential and commercial spaces. You will play a key role in transforming our clients' visions into reality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement creative design concepts for a variety of projects.
• Work with clients to understand their vision and requirements.
• Conduct research on furnishings, materials, and finishes to meet design goals.
• Ensure all designs comply with local building codes and regulations.
• Prepare and present proposals, including cost estimates and project timelines.
• Oversee installations and staging to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and innovate design solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or equivalent
• Professional certifications are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in a design role, preferably with experience in both residential and commercial design

Technical Skills

• 3D Rendering Software
• BIM Software
• Color Theory

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Certified Interior Designer (CID)
• Sustainable Design Certification (optional)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations: Understanding of compliance requirements in the Gauteng area.
• Familiarity with commercial design: Experience in designing office or retail spaces.
