Job Description

We are seeking a Public Health Officer to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing health programs, analyzing health data, and promoting healthy lifestyles within the community.

Responsibilities

• Lead public health outreach campaigns in Durban to improve awareness of health issues.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to community health.
• Research and analyze data on health behaviors and outcomes in the community.
• Engage with stakeholders to secure funding and resources for health initiatives.
• Advocate for policies that promote public health at local events and forums.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in public health or community health roles

Certifications

• Certified in Public Health (CPH)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
