Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Civil Service Officer to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community development and a strong understanding of public policy implementation. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance public service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate community needs and propose service enhancements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations.
• Coordinate public consultations and community forums.
• Promote activities aimed at fostering community participation.
• Assist in conflict resolution and address community concerns.
• Review and analyse policy impacts on local communities.
• Assist in creating informative materials for the public.
• Report to the Director of Operations on progress and challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or a related field
• Master's degree in a relevant discipline is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in policy implementation or community development

• Data Analysis

Certifications

• Certified Public Manager (CPM)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent
