We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing financial reports to management. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience in financial reporting. Responsibilities

• Monitor financial performance and assist in strategic planning.
• Develop financial models for various projects.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Provide training and support to junior finance staff.
• Ensure all financial records are compliant and up-to-date.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or relevant field
• Honours degree is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of relevant experience in the accounting sector

• Microsoft Excel

Certifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Financial Risk Manager (FRM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with financial modeling: Proven experience in building financial models and forecasts.
