Job Description

As a Molasses and Caramel Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of machinery used in the production of molasses and caramel. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience to ensure the efficient and safe operation of equipment while adhering to strict safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain machines in a fast-paced environment while ensuring adherence to production schedules.
  • Quality checks to ensure finished products meet company standards.
  • Documentation of production processes and proper filing of production logs.
  • Training new operators on machinery and protocols.
  • Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate in Food Processing or related field is preferred
Experience
  • Experience with food processing equipment and regulations in the South African context is a plus.
Technical Skills
  • Safety and hygiene practices knowledge
Languages
  • Afrikaans: Basic

Advantageous

  • Experience with quality control procedures: Ability to conduct and document quality checks throughout the production process.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems: Knowledge of managing raw materials and reporting shortages.
