Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our vibrant team in Cape Town. This role encompasses designing and implementing automated deployment strategies, ensuring system reliability, and facilitating smooth collaborations between development and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee deployment processes and system monitoring.
• Optimize CI/CD workflows for efficiency.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams.
• Manage security protocols in cloud environments.
• Resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure.
• Conduct training sessions for team members.
• Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies.
• Assist in capacity planning and infrastructure scaling.
• Maintain documentation of systems and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or closely related field
• Master's degree in relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in DevOps, IT operations, or similar roles

• Azure

Certifications

• Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Languages

• Understanding of microservices architecture: Knowledge of microservices concepts and patterns.
