Playground Monitor

Job Description

The Playground Monitor will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children during playtime at the school playground. This includes supervising and interacting with children, maintaining the facility, and enforcing rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of children during all play activities.
• Develop engaging activities tailored to the children's interests.
• Work closely with fellow staff to align on safety protocols.
• Provide first aid to children in case of minor injuries.
• Report maintenance issues regarding playground equipment.
• Create a welcoming environment for children and parents alike.
• Assist in training new staff on playground safety and regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent

Experience

• Previous experience in a school or childcare setting preferred

• Conflict resolution skills

Certifications

• CPR Certification
• Clearance Certificate from Local Authorities
