Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team in Durban. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional pharmaceutical care, advising patients on medication usage, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety. The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for improving patient health.

Responsibilities

• Implement medication therapy management for chronic disease patients.
• Educate patients on health and wellness topics to enhance their knowledge.
• Conduct clinical trials and research to further pharmaceutical knowledge.
• Ensure the pharmacy adheres to HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards.
• Provide emergency care when required, including CPR.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Advantageous

• Proficiency in healthcare communication technologies: Experience with telepharmacy or other telemedicine services.
• Leadership experience in a pharmacy setting: Previous experience overseeing pharmacy staff is a plus.
