Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive health reviews and patient follow-ups.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Develop and implement patient management plans.
  • Provide health advice and lifestyle modification support.
  • Engage with patients to promote adherence to treatment plans.
  • Document patient interactions and care protocols.
  • Liaise with specialists and coordinate referrals when necessary.
  • Participate in ongoing medical education and professional development.
  • Advocate for patients’ health and wellbeing.
  • Provide telemedicine consultations where applicable.

Requirements

Education
  • MBChB or equivalent medical qualification
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
