Job Description

As an Election Watcher, your primary role will be to observe the electoral process and ensure compliance with election laws. You will monitor polling stations, report any irregularities, and assist in safeguarding the integrity of the voting process. This role is crucial to promoting confidence in our democratic elections.

Responsibilities

• Monitor polling stations and ensure compliance with electoral regulations.
• Document and report any issues or concerns that arise during the voting process.
• Provide assistance to voters facing challenges at the polls.
• Coordinate with election officials to facilitate a smooth voting experience.
• Attend training sessions to stay informed on election laws and procedures.
• Prepare detailed reports on the conduct of the voting process.
• Work collaboratively with fellow monitors and election staff.
• Maintain objectivity and integrity at all times.
• Participate in follow-up meetings to discuss election findings and concerns.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent

Experience

• Customer service experience preferred.
