Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in animal health, comprehensive surgical skills, and a passion for improving pet welfare.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat pets and livestock with various health concerns.
• Conduct surgeries in accordance with best veterinary practices.
• Implement treatment plans based on veterinary guidance.
• Advocate for animal welfare and ethical treatment practices.
• Engage in continuous education to maintain professional knowledge.
• Assist in the training of junior veterinary staff and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
• Postgraduate studies in veterinary specialties is a plus

Experience

• Minimum 3 years in clinical practice with special emphasis on surgery
