Mental Health Counsellor

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Counsellor to join our compassionate team in East London. In this role, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic support and guidance to individuals facing mental health challenges. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and facilitate individual and group therapy sessions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various therapeutic techniques and a passion for promoting mental wellness.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose clients’ mental health issues effectively.
• Design and modify treatment plans based on individual progress.
• Conduct workshops and group sessions to educate clients on coping mechanisms.
• Provide compassionate support during therapy and counselling sessions.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and ethical guidelines related to mental health.
• Participate in continual professional development activities.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Psychology or Social Work
• Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in mental health counselling

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
