Outbound Operator

Job Description

The Outbound Operator coordinates and manages outbound logistics operations, ensuring efficient transport and delivery of goods to customers while upholding high quality and safety standards. This role requires excellent organizational skills and a strong understanding of logistics.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate travel arrangements for outbound tours ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Manage relationships with travel service providers.
• Prepare detailed itineraries customized to clients’ interests.
• Assist clients with inquiries regarding travel documentation and protocols.
• Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate contracts.

Requirements

Education

• Tertiary qualification in Tourism, Logistics, or related field

Experience

• 5 years in a similar role, particularly in tourism or travel logistics.

Technical Skills

• Inventory control expertise
• Experience with EDI systems
• Knowledge of GPS and route optimization software

Soft Skills

• Leadership abilities
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified Customs Specialist (CCS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
