Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mining Engineer to join our Kimberley team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mining engineering principles, and will be responsible for designing and overseeing mining operations to ensure safety and efficiency. Your role will involve everything from site evaluation to resource management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the execution of geological surveys to inform mining decisions.
• Develop work schedules and allocate resources effectively.
• Prepare geological and technical reports for management review.
• Implement performance metrics to evaluate the efficiency of mining operations.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders to enhance mining practices.
• Utilize CAD software for designing mining layouts.
• Manage budgets and report financial metrics to senior management.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines and deadlines.
• Engage in continuous training and development opportunities.
• Promote a safety-first culture among all team members.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related technical field
• Postgraduate degree is a plus

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in underground and open-pit mining operations
