We are seeking a Mining Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with mineral extraction processes and a passion for safety and innovation. Responsibilities include developing project plans, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage effective drilling programs.
• Act as a liaison between management and field personnel on site.
• Ensure continuous training and development of mining staff.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of mining operations and suggest improvements.
• Work closely with geologists to assess resource availability.
• Implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational risks.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or Geology
• Advanced qualifications in mining or geology is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in a mining or geological engineering role
