Job Description

As a Psychologist at Mental Health Services Inc., you will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals facing mental health challenges. You will conduct assessments, provide therapy, and develop treatment plans tailored to patients' needs. This position requires a compassionate, professional, and adaptable approach to patient care, ensuring that each client receives the support necessary for their mental wellness journey.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate client progress through regular check-ins and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Support and mentor junior staff and interns during their practical experience.
• Advocate for mental health policies within the community.
• Develop outreach programs to enhance public awareness of mental health issues.
• Conduct research to remain current in psychological practices and contribute findings to organizational knowledge.
• Confer with healthcare providers to coordinate patient treatments effectively.
• Help design and facilitate community health initiatives.
• Participate in case management discussions with external agencies.
• Provide consultation services to schools and organizations regarding mental health.
• Utilize technology in therapy processes where applicable.

Requirements

Education

• Master’s or Doctorate in Psychology
• Specialization in Clinical Psychology is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in a clinical role or community mental health

• Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
• Crisis Intervention

Certifications

• Psychological First Aid Certification
