As a Laboratory Technician in our Durban facility, your responsibilities will encompass preparing and analyzing biological samples, maintaining laboratory records, and supporting research initiatives. Responsibilities

• Support research initiatives through sample preparation and analysis.
• Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Analyze and interpret test results accurately.
• Implement new laboratory procedures and techniques as directed.
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide patient support.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry or a related field
• Postgraduate qualifications are a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant laboratory experience

Technical Skills

• PCR and Gel Electrophoresis
• Quality Assurance Protocols

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• ISO 15189 Certification
• Laboratory Assessor Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS): Experience with LIMS for data management and reporting.
• Basic IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and laboratory software applications.
