Job Description

As a Pharmacist with PharmaCare Ltd., you will ensure optimal patient health outcomes through effective medication management and patient education. This role requires keen attention to detail and strong communication skills, as you will interact directly with patients and health professionals to provide quality care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate prescriptions for accuracy and legality.
• Educate patients about health management and lifestyle changes.
• Monitor patient medication therapies to prevent interactions.
• Participate in quality improvement activities within the pharmacy.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications.
• Provide support during pharmacy promotions and events.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
• Advanced qualifications in Pharmacy practice are advantageous

Experience

• 2+ years of community pharmacy experience required

Technical Skills

• Medication Management
• Health Screening

Soft Skills

• Customer Service
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Certification in Diabetes Educator: Certification as a diabetes educator is a significant advantage.
• Experience in Clinical Trials: Prior experience working on clinical trials will be beneficial.
