Structural Engineer

Job Description

As a Structural Engineer at our Cape Town office, you'll be involved in designing, analyzing, and overseeing construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring a good mix of technical expertise and a passion for sustainable engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative structural solutions for complex design challenges.
• Perform site inspections and assessments of existing structures.
• Utilize advanced engineering software for modeling and analysis.
• Ensure all projects comply with local regulations and standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on projects.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals and bids.

Requirements

Education

• BSc in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Postgraduate degree in Structural Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Project
• Revit

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Leadership experience in project teams: Track record of leading projects and teams effectively.
