Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our Port Elizabeth team. The ideal candidate will have experience in protecting critical infrastructure and a passion for staying ahead of cyber threats. You will work closely with IT professionals to develop security protocols and ensure the integrity of our systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure understanding of cybersecurity risks and solutions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement in case of data breaches.
• Document security incidents and develop reports for management.
• Review and update security policies and SOPs regularly.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or Information Security Preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity including compliance and regulatory requirements

Technical Skills

• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
• Vulnerability Assessment Tools

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• CISSP

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with GDPR and local privacy laws: Understanding of compliance requirements and privacy regulations.
• Experience with Incident Response Planning: Proficient in creating and executing incident response plans.
