Job Description

As an Occupational Therapist with us, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to our patients in East London. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will design and implement effective therapeutic interventions, promoting independence and enhancing daily functioning among those you serve.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient functionality and develop treatment goals.
• Deliver hands-on therapy and rehabilitation sessions.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies.
• Conduct workshops to promote health and wellness in the community.
• Stay updated with the latest occupational therapy practices and techniques.
• Advocate for patient needs and ensure access to necessary resources.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred
• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in diverse clinical settings

Technical Skills

• Rehabilitation Planning
• Patient Care Coordination

Advantageous

• Certification in sensory integration therapy: Specialized certification to enhance treatment approaches.
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively with a broader patient base.
